Respite Project
Scott's Gaff
Scott’s Gaff is a very special project created by the Scott Martin Foundation, giving families we have supported the opportunity to enjoy some much-needed time away together in a peaceful and welcoming environment.
Located at Rosneath Castle Park, close to the beautiful shores of Loch Lomond, Scott’s Gaff is our charity respite caravan, a place where families can take a break from everyday pressures, slow things down, reconnect and simply spend precious time together.
The idea behind Scott’s Gaff comes from our own family’s experiences. We understand how difficult life can become when a child, young person or family is struggling with their mental health, experiencing bereavement or simply going through an incredibly challenging period. Sometimes, having somewhere to escape to for a few days can make a real difference.
Scott’s Gaff was created to provide exactly that.
Location
Luss and Loch Lomand
For us, the location also holds a very special meaning. Scott loved visiting Luss and Loch Lomond with his family, particularly spending time at Luss Pier with his brothers. It is an area filled with happy memories for us, making it feel like the perfect place for something carrying his name and continuing his legacy.
Families staying at Scott’s Gaff can enjoy their own comfortable space while making use of the facilities and surroundings at Rosneath Castle Park. Whether it is exploring the area, spending time outdoors, sharing meals together or simply putting their feet up, there is no expectation of what a break should look like, it is about having time together.
Supporting families
Who is Scott’s Gaff for?
Scott’s Gaff is available to families who have been supported by the Scott Martin Foundation. It is not a general holiday rental and has been created specifically as an extension of the support our Foundation provides.
The Foundation covers the cost of the accommodation, with families only asked to make a small daily contribution towards utilities.
Supporting us
How can you help?
Keeping Scott’s Gaff available for families takes ongoing support. Donations, fundraising and sponsorship help us cover the running costs of the caravan, including site fees, utilities, cleaning, maintenance, repairs and replacing essential items.
We also offer businesses the opportunity to support Scott’s Gaff through a three-tier sponsorship programme. Each sponsorship level provides a meaningful way for businesses to contribute towards the ongoing running costs of the caravan and help families enjoy valuable time away together.
Whether your business chooses an entry-level, mid-level or premium sponsorship package, your support will help keep Scott’s Gaff welcoming, comfortable and available to families who need it.
Every contribution makes a difference.
Whether you sponsor Scott’s Gaff, make a donation, organise a fundraiser, take part in an event or simply share our work with others, your support helps continue Scott’s legacy and ensures more families can benefit from this special place.

Continuing Scott’s Legacy
Scott’s Gaff is about much more than a caravan.
It is about giving families time, space and memories.
Everything we do through the Scott Martin Foundation is done in memory of Scott Martin, who died by suicide aged just 16. From providing fully funded counselling and therapeutic support to creating Scott’s Gaff, our aim is to turn our family’s unimaginable loss into something that can make a difference to other children, young people and families.
We hope Scott’s Gaff becomes a place filled with laughter, conversations, adventures, quiet moments and happy memories for every family who stays there.
A place to relax, reconnect and make memories.
